Gallery of previous work
Here you will find examples of bathrooms, laundries or toilets that SOS Bathrooms has partially or fully renovated. This is constantly being updated and shows just some of what we have to offer. Click on images to see them inlarged.
erin, whakatane
Here is a simple refresh that made everything look new Erin got a new shower and vanity with black fittings, skirting, tile splashback & mirror, plus heated towel rail along with new ceiling and lights.
Tiemen, Edgecumbe
Tiemen wanted a modern, light bright bathroom and he sure got what he asked for. Nib wall removed, nice big shower, new vanity and fresh walls, paint and lights. Fantastic.
Donna, Whakatane
Donna’s bathroom looks sooo much different. Everything was overhauled. Walls, ceiling, bath, shower - which was extended out slightly for a bigger shower tray, vanity, flooring, lights, everything. Awesome.
Margaret, Hillcrest
This is Margaret’s ensuite. It started off dark, feeling cramped and in much need of refreshment. The transformation to a light, bright, welcoming room was kind of unbelievable. It really did feel so much bigger. As an aside, how cool is that view!
Dave & Sue, Ohope
Dave and Sue wanted to update their ensuite in their holiday home. It was looking a bit tired and their toilet felt jammed up against the wall. Everything was updated, the toilet was repositioned and it now looks like a different room.
Karen, Whakatane
Here is another bathroom that desperately needed some help. Karen brought us in and with the help of her great taste; bath, vanity and shower were replaced, all were re-tiled and the whole room was relined, new ceiling, lights and paint. Result: pretty, modern and ready to dress. We particularly love this bath style.
Peter & Jan, Hillcrest
Look at what can happen when you change some tiles! Jan & Peter's bathroom was scruptulously looked after but there were a LOT of terracotta tiles; Scotty removed every single tile in there! External access toilet and vanity were replaced, flooring modernised, bath removed and everything from the floor to the ceiling was replaced and finished, resulting in this light, bright, spacious room. Well worth the effort. Jan’s testimonial": “We highly recommend Scotty for bathroom renovations. He completely gutted our bathroom and we were thrilled with the final result as shown in the pictures. Taking away all the rubbish and leaving it so neat and tidy after a days work was a real bonus. Thankyou Scotty it was a pleasure having you to renovate our bathroom and I cant speak highly enough of you and your excellent workmanship.”
Jo & Richard, Edgecumbe
Jo and Richard wanted their bathroom brought into the 21st century! They had us reline & paint the walls & ceiling, replace the vanity & shower, and add a new extractor fan. They selected the Symphony Shower Pinnacle tray for their shower; with an extra hardy, “tile look” surface, and 2.6cm low profile edge, this is a convenient alternative to wet floors as no council consent or plans needed.
Sheila, whakatane
Sheila wanted her bathroom to match the rest of her home. She kept her window but replaced the shower, vanity, walls, ceiling, & bath and Scott finished it with paint and tiling.
Dene, te teko
Dene just wanted the bare minimum done so the bathroom was functional. We installed a new floor, new 1mx1m curved shower, and new vanity. Ready to decorate and enjoy.
Tania, edgecumbe
Tania’s home was a rental and the bathroom needed brightening and updating, but without doing more than necessary. Wall between shower and vanity was removed, and the shower and vanity were replaced.
justine, wainui
Justine asked for half country clad panelling, a new-look vanity, new black towel rail and a lovely new shelf for plants. So much nicer! For her laundry, Justine asked for a modern custom contained bench, and for the tub unit to be replaced by a nice bowl and bigger, better cupboards underneath.
Diane, Ohiwa Harbour
Diane wanted to get rid of their old school shower-over-bath and replace it with a nice big new shower and better sized vanity with seratone backing all round.
Paula, Otakiri
Poor Paula’s shower had a broken door and they were stuck with a shower curtain. This was replaced with a big beautiful curved shower.
donna, otakiri
Well as you can see, the toilet was literally falling through the floor! The toilet was removed, the floor underneath replaced, ready for the new toilet.
Kalvin, Whakatane
This is another simple replacement of the shower-over-bath for a nice new shower, and old vanity for new. A heated towel rail was installed in the new wall space. This meant Kalvin could go ahead and paint/replace floor covering for a fresh new look.
ACC, taneatua
This was commissioned by Accident Compensation Corporation. This was a full renovation with wheelchair access. This included a new custom handrail and waterproof seat, floating hand basin, new storage and toilet, the water damaged floor was replaced and full GIB stopping and painting finished it off.
neil, taneatua
Another quick but very effective laundry refresh. We love these new timber bench tops with the laundry bowl inserted.
hillena, whakatane
Hillena needed both a new shower, and water damage repairs - there was no silicon where there should have been. When the wall was opened up, the joist had actually rotted away. The joist and wall was repaired including behind the shower lining, and the shower was replaced. Those little damp corners can be a whole can of worms!
marina, matata
Here in Marina’s toilet, the small waterline inside the wall sprang a fine leak. Unfortunately the floor was made of chipboard, so it started turning to mush. The toilet went on a lean, so lino was peeled back, floor was pulled out and replaced, toilet was reinstalled, and lino glued back down. To top it off, the back wall was painted and perfectly matched so you couldnt tell anything had happened.
